We are Joost and Liesbeth Heutink and we have a passion for old icons. Over ten years ago we founded our own gallery, Heutink Ikonen. Our collection of old Russian and Greek icons is selected with the utmost care. Thee icons we offer are of the highest standards in terms of aesthetics, state and level of preservation, while their provenance has to be beyond any doubt.

All icons we offer for sale come along with detailed description of iconography, region and period of origin and a condition report. Joost is a member of the board of the Royal Association of Fine Art Dealers in the Netherlands (Koninklijke VHOK). He is also an assistant professor at the University of Groningen (Dept. of Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology) and in his free time he is honorary curator of the Museum of Icons in Kampen. Liesbeth is a professional harpist who is now studying Theology at the University of Groningen with a special interest in early Christian art.

Both Liesbeth and Joost collaborated on a number of books on various subjects related to icons and iconography.
