    In this landscape, the early beginning of Cross’ pointillism is seen in the sky and some parts of the landscape. Other parts are still painted in the realistic manner he was used to, but already with the bright colours of the impressionists.

  • Sobre el artista
    Henri-Edmond Cross (Delacroix) nació en 1856 en Douai, Francia. Su obra puede considerarse perteneciente a los últimos años del neoimpresionismo. Cuando se mudó a Saint-Clair, cerca de Saint-Tropez. Fue en este lugar donde se dedicó a la pintura de paisajes pura en óleo y acuarelas, trabajando frecuentemente con una paleta de colores brillantes y saturados. Cross falleció en 1910, mientras aún vivía en Saint-Clair.
