Frans Jacobs Fine Art strongly  focusses on art of the Ecole de Paris, which is an indicative of the importance of  Paris in Western art in the beginning of the 20th century, starting with the radicals of the impressionism violating all rules of academic painting, the precursor of various styles of painting including postimpressionism, fauvism, cubism. Many art styles initiated by the Ecole de Montparnasse followed.
