About the artist
Ferdinand Engelschalk (Prague 1680- probably 1755 Friedberg) was as a clockmaker and active in Prague between 1700-1713. Little is known about him but in 1721 he became a master clockmaker. In 1731 he moved to Friedberg (Bavaria, Germany) and died after 1744. Most of his works are exposed in museums and private collections.
