- About the artworkA rare WINE GLASS for a special occasion.
Wheel engraving of the announcement of a pregnancy in a cellar (symbolic for the womb). The pregnant lady is toasting on Amor. There are two cherubs, one filling a glass from a wine barrel, the other holding a glass.
Inscription : HANSIE IN DE KELDER.
The Netherlands or England, ca. 1740.
