• Over kunstwerk
  Louis XVI bureaustoel in beukenhout met een roodbruinen lederen bekleding. Aan de onderzijde van de voorregel gestempeld Malot. Jacques Malot, werd in 1748 tot maître benoemd. Aanvankelijk gevestigd aan de Rue de Cléry, vestigde hij zich later aan de Rue Montorgueil te Parijs. Typisch voor zijn productie zijn stoelen in de Lodewijk XV stijl; aan het einde van zijn werkzame leven werkte hij ook in de nieuwe stijl van het Neoclassicisme van Lodewijk XVI, zoals deze stoel laat zien. • Over kunstenaar
  Jacques Malot is a carpenter of the eighteenth century, he became a master (Maitre) in 1748. He settled Clery street and Montorgueil street and finally the Cossonerie street in Paris. He was quickly known for its various furniture often simple enough on an aesthetic level but always gracious and manufactured with the greatest care. He was known for his chairs, of styles, Louis XV or Louis XVI, often without any ornament but considered as the embodied refinement. He retired from business in 1775.
  
  Although his production was certainly rather consequent, most of his furniture were lost or destroyed during the last centuries. Nowadays we only know few examples of furniture of Jacques Malot.
