• Over kunstwerk
  The artwork “The world is yours” is a powerful statement about power, control, and the illusion of ownership. The wooden box, once a symbol of stability and security, is now transformed into a container of danger and violence. The real gun, bullets, and hand grenade within the box represent the destructive potential of unchecked power. The epoxy coating, a clear and impenetrable barrier, serves as a reminder of the walls we build around ourselves to protect ourselves from harm, but also the isolation that can result from such a self-imposed confinement.
  
  The LED light letters spelling out “The World is yours” on the top of the box are a jarring juxtaposition of hope and despair. On the one hand, the words suggest a sense of unlimited potential and the belief that anything is possible. On the other hand, they can also be interpreted as a warning about the dangers of unchecked ambition and the pitfalls of believing that we can control everything.
  
  The artwork is a complex and thought-provoking piece that invites viewers to consider their own relationship to power and control. It is a reminder that true power lies not in possessions or violence, but in understanding ourselves and our place in the world.
