Christiaan Cornelis Kannemans was a Dutch painter and photographer. He was one of the first marine painters from North Brabant. Kannemans, who first came to the house as a house painter, built a successful career as a painter. His painter's shop was transformed into a studio. Among other things King William II gave him orders and supported him financially so that he could make study trips along the coasts of some neighboring countries. The sketches he made served as the basis for his artworks. He taught drawing at two schools in Breda. During his life he exhibited in Dunkirk and Philadephia.

Christiaan Cornelis Kannemans was een Nederlandse schilder en fotograaf. Hij was een van de eerste marineschilders uit Noord-Brabant. Kannemans, die voor het eerst als huisschilder in huis kwam, bouwde een succesvolle carrière als schilder op. Zijn schilderswinkel werd omgebouwd tot een atelier. Koning Willem II gaf hem onder andere opdrachten en steunde hem financieel zodat hij studiereizen kon maken langs de kusten van enkele buurlanden. De schetsen die hij maakte dienden als basis voor zijn kunstwerken. Hij gaf tekenles op twee scholen in Breda. Tijdens zijn leven exposeerde hij in Duinkerken en Philadephia.
