Bas Veth

Bastiaan Veth, also called Bas Veth, was a Dutch artist born in Arnhem on 12 March 1861. He died on 4 April 1944. Bas Veth studied at the Polytechnische school in Delft between 1879 and 1881. He became an impressionist painter and watercolourist, specialising in river and seascapes. His work is included in the collections of the Dordrechts Museum and Frans Halsmuseum in Haarlem.
