Joseph Posenaer

Joseph Posenaer was born in Antwerp, where he also studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. When the World War I started he fled to the Netherlands and settled in Domburg. After the war he moved back to Antwerp and became a teacher at the same Academy he studied.

Posenaer has painted a lot of landscapes and city views of Zealand, he uses a palette with soft and light colors. His work is very naturalistic.
