About the artist
The Old Believers Workshop was a 19th century icon-painting craftsmanship workshop. The Old Believers’ iconography is essential to the nature of the ‘ancient Orthodoxy’. Every detail must be a witness to the ancient Orthodox faith. The Old Believers’ iconographs regard themselves as the followers of the Old Russian technique of iconography.
