Margit de Corini, Hongarian/American 1897-1982, wanted to become an actress, but after getting married with baron Corini, she moved to New York. Fom 1928 she worked in Paris for 15 years. In 1931 she began to exhibit in the French capital with the greatest artists of the time. The french press called her the "painter of the night". She frequently exhibited in Budapest as well. After 1945 she returned home, in 1952 she left the capital, and moved to Gyomán. She gave a part of her works to the local museum, where it can be seen as part of their constant exhibition.

Margit De Corini voleva diventare un'attrice e ha seguito la Scuola Drammatica Szidi Rakosi di Budapest. ma dopo essersi sposata con il barone De Corini si è trasferita a New York. Dal 1928 ha lavorato a Parigi per 15 anni come artista. Nel 1931 inizia ad esporre a Parigi con i più grandi artisti dell'epoca. La stampa francese l'ha definita la "pittrice della notte". Ha esposto spesso anche a Budapest. Dopo il 1945 tornò nel suo paese d'origine, l'Ungheria, e si stabilì a Budapest. Nel 1952 lasciò la capitale e si trasferì a Gyomán.
