Henk Schuurman

Henk Schuurman was a Dutch artist born in 1897. He spent his life working in the city of Laren, in the northern area of the Netherlands. His painting style can be called realistic, with the incorporation of cubist tendencies. His work can also be recognized by a bright use of colour.

As an artist, Schuurman presented himself as modest and humble. This might have been the reason for a slight underappreciation of his work. Schuurman passed away in 1991.
