About this piece Touching and rare sculpture of a seated woman, in a beautiful natural pose. She has her arms around her knees. Very intimate. This sculpture is the work of the French sculptor Louis Emile Cacheux, born in Paris in 1874. He was a pupil of Verlet. Cacheux was a soloist. The leading theme in his work was women. Only a few of his works are known, he often casted only one piece in bronze, which makes his work very rare. His sculptures are always of high quality, he was very talented. His work was cast by the famous bronze founders Goddard and Valsuani. This bronze sculpture is signed and dated "L. Cacheux, 1919" and Goddard's casting mark.
