  • About the artist

Tonny de Brouwer is a Dutch artist and bronze caster, known for her expressive sculptures that combine craftsmanship and emotion. She has made her mark as a sculptor and specialist in the bronze casting process, controlling every aspect of the creative and technical process. Her work is characterized by a profound sensitivity to form and detail, often inspired by the human figure, nature and universal themes such as transience and connection.

Tonny developed her passion for sculpture and bronze casting at a young age and followed an intensive training in the visual arts. During her career, she immersed herself in the craft of bronze casting, a technique that requires both precision and patience. She masters the entire process, from making the original model and wax mold to casting and finishing the final product, which allows her to fully express her artistic vision.

Her sculptures range from intimate, small objects to monumental works that are placed in public spaces. She plays with textures and patinas to create a sense of movement, liveliness and timelessness. Her work is both figurative and abstract, with a strong emphasis on balance and harmony.

Over the years, Tonny de Brouwer has exhibited in the Netherlands and internationally. Her sculptures are part of various collections and are valued for their artistic power and craftsmanship perfection. In addition to her own work, she has carried out numerous commissions for individuals, companies and institutions, and regularly collaborates with other artists to bring their designs to life in bronze.

As a mentor and teacher, she shares her extensive knowledge of the bronze casting process with a new generation of artists. Her studio functions not only as a workplace, but also as a place of inspiration and knowledge transfer.
