Over de kunstenaar
Jean-André Reiche was a respected crafter of bronze objects from Leipzig who primarily worked during the Empire Period. He moved to Paris while Louis XVI was in power and became a master founder in 1785, after which his reputation soon started to grow. He passed away in 1817, after which he left his successful business to his son.
