    Not not too much information could be found on this impressionist painter. Known is that Pinheiro was born in Portugal at the end of the XIXth century, he arrived at a young age to France and spent most of his life depicting the Parisian Belle Epoque. Pinheiro excelled at portraying elegant ladies shopping along the Grands Boulevards, lively city streets and the grand Parisian monuments like the Louvre and Versailles. Pinheiro painted with pastel tones and not with too much detail to create an overall harmonious composition that allows the eye to move effortlessly across the canvas. The painting seems carefree and breathes an atmosphere of ease and harmony.

    Oscar Pinheiro est né au Portugal à la fin du XIXe siècle, il est arrivé jeune en France et a passé la majeure partie de sa vie à dépeindre la Belle Epoque parisienne. Pinheiro a excellé dans la représentation de dames élégantes faisant du shopping le long des Grands Boulevards, des rues animées de la ville et des grands monuments parisiens comme le Louvre et Versailles.

    Pinheiro a peint avec des tons pastel et pas trop de détails pour créer une composition globale harmonieuse qui permet à l'œil de se déplacer sans effort sur la toile. La peinture semble insouciante et respire une atmosphère d'aisance et d'harmonie.
