    Hendrik Barend Koekkoek, also called Barend Hendrik Koekkoek, was born in 1849, he died in London in 1909. He was the son of Hermanus Koekkoek and was a pupil of Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek. H.B. Koekkoek lived and worked in Amsterdam, Hilversum, Brussels and London. He was renowned for his landscapes and forests. He exhibited in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Arnhem and Harlem. His work is included in various public collections, including the museum Paul Tetar van Elven in Delft.
