  On the road of chasing my dreams, I have seen the light, and I have struggled in the darkness. Maybe this is life, and every bit of life prompts me to express it through sculpture. Maybe my dream is empty, and the spiritual world of most of us modern people is empty, but each of us revolves in our own world until we find the exit of life’.

  The young sculptor Wang Shu Chen has presented us with many sculpture works in recent years. These works have a public nature of watching and thinking about contemporary life from a personal perspective. Some works are allegorical, as if they are narrative tone of urban legends. It expresses the encounters of people in current life, the tension and persistence of individual life in the face of a rapidly changing world.
  From a formal point of view, the people in the work are semi-abstract, shaped as full of
  Air or cloud-like appearance, this kind of “shell” existence is real, and contains a little helplessness, and at the same time, they have a sense of temperature, full of warmth.

  ‘Op de weg van het najagen van mijn dromen heb ik het licht gezien en ik heb geworsteld in de duisternis. Misschien is dit het leven, en elk onderdeel van het leven zet me ertoe aan om het uit te drukken door middel van beeldhouwkunst. Misschien is mijn droom leeg en is de spirituele wereld van de meesten van ons moderne mensen leeg, maar ieder van ons draait in zijn eigen wereld totdat we de uitgang van het leven vinden.

  De jonge beeldhouwer Wang Shu Chen heeft ons de afgelopen jaren veel sculpturen gepresenteerd. Deze werken hebben een openbaar karakter van kijken naar en nadenken over het hedendaagse leven vanuit een persoonlijk perspectief. Sommige werken zijn allegorisch, alsof ze de verhalende toon zijn van stedelijke legendes. Het drukt de ontmoetingen uit van mensen in het huidige leven, de spanning en volharding van het individuele leven in het licht van een snel veranderende wereld.
  Formeel gezien zijn de mensen in het werk semi-abstract, gevormd als een lucht- of wolkachtig uiterlijk, dit soort 'omhulsel'-bestaan ​​is echt en bevat een beetje hulpeloosheid, en tegelijkertijd ze hebben een gevoel van temperatuur, vol warmte. Vol goede wil en gevoel, alsof je de innerlijke pols van het leven kunt raken.
