    Sadik Kwaish Alfraji (Baghdad 1960) was inspired to combine his love of philosophy and poetry with expressionism. A frequently recurring theme is existentialism, which often results in vulnerable faceless dark figures. He was born in Iraq under the regime of Sadam Hussein's. Nowadays he lives and works in Amersfoort the Netherlands. His works are all over the world in musea and with galeries.

    Sadik Kwaish Alfraji was born in Baghdad in 1960. His initial training was as a painter and graphic artist, first receiving a degree in plastic arts and painting from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad (1982) and later a Bachelor of Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad (1987).
