About the artist
Suus Suiker is a Dutch artist. For several years she has been working with a very special technique to capture her love for nature. Suiker has become proficient in encaustic mixed-media painting (paintings with pigmented warm beeswax) combined with ink, chalk and oil paint. Floral motifs, flowers and branches, natural structures and reflections form her theme. A theme that perfectly matches the natural medium. The genre can be characterized as 'contemporary impressionism'.
