About the artist
Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He was born on June 9, 1926. in the Zaporozhye region in the village of Balki in the family of a paramedic. He drew a lot since childhood, due to which he successfully passed the entrance examination to the republican art secondary school in Kiev. Upon graduation, he entered the Kiev Art Institute, where he studied at the battle-historical workshop under the guidance of Professor Trokhimenko K.D. He also had Sharonov MA, Eleva KM, Melikhov GS as a teacher. The artist graduated in 1954 with a red diploma. In the same 1954godu joined the Union of Artists of Ukraine on the recommendations of Yablonskaya TN, Trokhimenko KD and Shavikina MM After graduating from the Institute he worked as an artist at the Kiev Opera House under the direction of Petritsky AG. Thanks to the experience gained at work over the diploma “Admiral Nakhimov”, took part in the restoration of the Sevastopol panorama, which suffered during the Second World War. The works were conducted under the supervision of Academician PP Sokolov-Skal. Participated in the painting of the main pavilion of VDNKh under the leadership of Deregus MG Shponko GA wrote many children’s portraits, genre scenes with children’s images. The artist’s works took part in many international, all-Union and republican exhibitions. His paintings are kept in museums of Ukraine, are in private collections in Ukraine, Japan, France, England, USA, Korea, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Czechia.
