About the artist
Johann Maresch (1821 - 1914) is known for Ceramic and terracota figures. Johann Maresch (1821-1914) joined Adolf Bähr as commercial director in 1845, who in 1841 took up the first production of household articles made from siderolith in Aussig. After Bähr's death in 1849 he married his daughter Marie Luise.
