2nd half 18th century | Mahogany | Signed Robert Henderson London | Provenance: Private collection - About the artistRobert Henderson was a clockmaker in Scarborough. Robert Henderson, who was a most highly esteemed maker, is mentioned in Baillie's "Watch and Clockmakers of the World", as working between 1768 and 1805. One of his bracket clocks is in the Imperial Palace collection in Peking and those clocks made by Henderson which we have had have all been of excellent quality.
