- About the artworkAdine (Adriaan) Engelman (1937-2015) was actief als beeldhouwster, schilderes en tekenares. Ze genoot haar opleiding aan de Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Rotterdam en bij Ateliers ’63 in Haarlem, Diverse gemeenten, waaronder Haarlem,kochten werk van haar aan. Zij werkte in een abstracte- en abstract geometrische stijl.
- About the artistAdine Engelman was a Dutch artist from Rotterdam. She was born as Adriaan Engelman in 1937 in Rotterdam and received her education at the Academy of Fine Art in Rotterdam. After, she followed a postgraduate program at 'De Ateliers' or 'Ateliers '63' in Haarlem, where she was tutored by established artists and art critics. She changed her name to 'Adine' Engelman in 1969 and lived the rest of her life as a woman. Her work is often abstract and consists mostly of geometric shapes. Her work is currently part of the collection of the Frans Hals museum in Haarlem and multiple private collections.
