- About the artist
Frank Lejeune is an autodidact Dutch abstract artist who was born in Northampton, United Kingdom. Lejeune initially made career at a corporate company and painted in his spare time. When he turned 30, Lejeune decided to change his life and embrace the uncertainties that accompany becoming a professional artist. His work was received quite well and sold accordingly, boosting his confidence. Lejeune primarily works with acrylic paint because it dries rather quickly, which is suitable for his swift way of working and way of handling the paint. Primary colors often have a large presence in his work. His paintings and lithographs remind of nature and sometimes even resemble concrete depictions of landscapes. Next to his graphic work and his paintings, Lejeune produces strongly colored ceramic sculptures.
