    Note:

    Born in Salzburg, he was a student of the Kunstgewerbeschüle in Vienna, he worked in Vienna all his life and became a member of the Wiener Werkstätte. He is best known for his paintings of animals, particularly of chamois high up in the Austrian mountains.
