Guillaume Stassen (1923-1955) Grew up in Schin op Geul and attended primary school there.

After high school, Guillaume attended the School of Visual Arts in Heerlen, the Maastricht Art Academy and the National Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam. He also apprenticed with Charles Eijck for several years.

A head injury resulting from abuse during employment in Germany during the war years would ultimately lead to his death. He died on July 25, 1955 in the Wilhelmina Gasthuis in Amsterdam.
