Maeve Rutten works as a freelance visual storyteller and illustrator. Maeve combines photography, hand-made model making and digital techniques in all of her visual stories. She’s fascinated by narrative structures and how different kinds of characters are represented within them. This is all heavily informed by her time working as an actor.
She is influenced by nature, David Bowie, Film Noir, Strawinsky, Alexander McQueen, Rembrand, Picasso, super heroes, Dutch Landscapes, bric-a-brac shops, Patti Smith and more. Maeve works mostly from her studio at the Wimbledon Art Studios at London (UK).
